I’m super excited to share that I’ve joined Warp as the Head of Growth. Warp is modernizing the command line experience for developers and they’ve built a blazingly fast Rust-based terminal that’s already used by hundreds of thousands of devs on MacOS. Yesterday, we hit a huge milestone: launching Warp for Linux. If you don’t know what any of that means, I promise you that you’ll be hearing much more about Warp in the coming months. In my first few weeks getting to know Zach Lloyd and the Warp team, I’ve felt such a strong conviction about their mission to build a more intuitive and collaborative terminal experience that all developers will love using. Everything about the way software engineers work is shifting so quickly; yet, the terminal still looks like a Cold War-era relic and lacks modern collaboration features that are a part of engineering workflows used at every company. We’re here to change that. Aside from their talent and ambition, the entire Warp team has been so welcoming to me as a newcomer, jumping straight into a platform launch that was already months in the making and moving at warp speed (#sorrynotsorry). I’ve felt incredibly supported and trusted by my partners and team, letting me jump headfirst into this launch. We’re already gearing up for the next. Expanding on the existing strong foundations on the Engineering and Product side, I’ll also be building out the Growth and Marketing orgs to scale out GTM and Product Growth motions. I’ve got so much confidence in both the Warpers I’ve met, as well as the top-tier investors (Andrew Reed from Sequoia, Dylan Field, Sam Altman, and Marc Benioff) and I know that our 2024 roadmap is going to be ground shifting. Thanks to everyone who already took the time to help me transition (Zach Lloyd, Michelle Lim, Melanie Crissey, Jessica Wang, Kyle Ribant, and so many more). And a huge thank you to my Guru team for an amazing 4 years, including Rick Nucci, Mitchell Stewart and too many others to name here! It's been an amazing journey.

Amid all the excitement about AI, it’s easy to lose sight of one key question: what business problems is it actually solving for customers? When the noise dies down, the applications customers will stick around for are the ones that solve real problems in new and better ways. One very real problem companies face is capturing critical company knowledge. It’s time consuming, and it can feel intimidating if you’re not a writer by trade (many of us aren't). As a result, valuable information stays in the minds of subject-matter experts or buried in silos. So when we started experimenting with generative AI at Guru, we asked ourselves if we could help companies solve this problem more effectively. Could we make the writing process faster? Could we make it easier to document knowledge? That’s how Assist (our AI writing assistant) came about. It’s currently available for anyone to use, and in our public beta with 600+ customers, the early results started coming through… It turns out that Assist users are creating 27% more knowledge than they were before. And a lot of them have called out how it has helped them feel more confident about writing. As Christopher Aleman (Knowledge Program Lead at Favor Delivery) put it, “Assist is a godsend since I’m not a copywriter.” AI can do a lot of impressive things. But the thing that'll impress customers long after the current wave of excitement has passed is having their jobs made easier and problems solved in better ways. We’re pleased to introduce Answers, our most powerful AI enhancement to date. With Answers, Guru users will be able to search across their company’s apps to access trusted information instantly. More than a standard search, Answers can give users information in easy-to-understand language instead of a list of results. Paired with our other AI features like Assist and Guru’s Trending Topics for Slack, Answers can drastically boost productivity and change how companies manage their knowledge.
