Tigua Inc. is excited to share the latest addition to our entryway: artwork from Ysleta del Sur Pueblo tribal member Patrick Holguin. Patrick, a multifaceted artist, has had a lifelong engagement with the arts, reigniting his artistic journey in painting about a year ago. Besides being a painter, he has also practiced tattooing since the late 90s.
His work primarily focuses on canvas, where he skillfully reinterprets traditional Tigua patterns and styles. In his tattoos and other works, Patrick draws inspiration from Chicano, Aztec, and Mayan cultures. These diverse influences come together in his art, creating unique and meaningful pieces that are a reflection of his deep connection to his heritage.
It's Patrick's personal mission to help keep traditions alive and relevant through his creative expression.
As a proudly tribally owned company, we are immensely proud to display Patrick Holguin's artwork. It's not just an enhancement of our physical space; it represents our deep respect and appreciation for the rich cultural diversity and history of the Tigua community.
In this picture, we have Tribal Councilman Andrew Torrez, Patrick Holguin, CEO Chris Munoz, and Contract Cost Analyst Gloria Paiz, displaying our new additions to our corporate office.
