We have designed a new and improved FAR 117 reference card that can be attached to your lanyard so you can quickly determine any Part 117 calculations. Please contact the P2P Committee via DART or email (MXYP2P@alpa.org) if you have not received a Part 117 reference badge backer. This card also has a quick checklist to ensure you are not fatigued and will be safe to operate your flight.   The duty limits are defined in Tables A and B in Part 117. Table A defines the maximum amount of flight time for unaugmented operations and Table B defines the maximum amount of flight duty for unaugmented operations. Flight time is measured by your total block time. Flight duty period (FDP) is the total time you are on duty, measured from your check-in time until block in time. Sometimes, Breeze will include an additional pilot when the original crew is in jeopardy of exceeding Part 117 limits, but this is not augmentation as defined by Part 117.

Chaired by Capt. Mike Solivan, the MXY Pilot-to-Pilot (P2P) Committee works to provide the best mentorship for pilots to excel throughout all stages of their professional career by connecting experienced pilots with emerging pilots to share expertise.   The P2P Committee’s goal is to create unity and connect pilots through a peer-to-peer mentorship program that provides transparency, professional growth, and safety in aviation.   This program is based on the premise that, to an airline pilot, the most credible witness on matters of airline pilot careers and representation is a fellow airline pilot.   For any union related questions, please email MXYP2P@alpa.org.

Yesterday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has dismissed Breeze Airways' challenge to ALPA's certification as the bargaining representative for Breeze pilots. Thank you to everyone who supported us through this journey. This victory isn't just for Breeze pilots, but for all workers fighting for fair representation and rights in their workplaces. Together, we continue to build a stronger future for all. #UnionStrong #VictoryForLabor #ALPA #BreezeAirways #Solidarity

Thank you to everyone who attended the picketing event in Norfolk yesterday. We have already seen extensive traditional and social media coverage of the event. We would also like to thank those who decided not to attend the management call and instead sent us pictures holding up digital picketing signs. It is through our continued collective efforts that we will get the industry-standard contract we deserve.   We want job protections, a better quality of life, and predictability in our schedules.  The only way to ensure these improvements is through a contract that will ensure Breeze becomes a career destination carrier.

Today we show management that we stand united, that we are strong together, and that its time we get what we deserve: an industry standard contract. Thanks to the efforts of our pilots, Breeze has reached profitability, an amazing feat for a young airline. But our hard work deserves to be recognized. Senior management continues to defy industry standard practices, ignore seniority, and make negative changes to our quality of life, so we will be bringing our struggle to the flying public, our guests. With today’s informational picket, we intend to bring media and public attention to our efforts and repeated snubbing by management. We thank the many Breeze pilots who have volunteered to stand up for our message by picketing today in Norfolk, but if you are unable to attend today’s event there are still many ways you can show your support. For those of you who cannot attend the picket, we ask that you support our effort in other ways: Please do not attend the management call today. This call was brought about during our unionization effort to create the illusion that senior management was interested in creating a better airline for the pilots. However, with repeated negative quality of life changes to the play book, we believe this call boils down to lip service from senior management. Show your support on social media by taking a photo of yourself holding one of our digital picket signs (attached to this email – open the attachment and screenshot the version you’d like to use). Hold up your personal device with the photo displayed and send the photo to MXYMECComms@alpa.org or post them to social media and tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and include the hashtag #ALPAPilotsPropelBreeze. If you are in your uniform in your photo, that will make the message all the stronger. Do not use any company equipment when taking your photo, including your company iPad. If you are at the airport, please remove your company badge and do not take any photos from inside the aircraft.
