CMI, CTC Global's manufacturing facility in India, is now open! We celebrated the grand opening with over 300 attendees from over 50 organizations and 31 T&D utilities, 180 of whom toured our new facility. It was an incredible event featuring a digital ribbon-cutting, inspiring speeches from our leaders, and an insightful session on leadership and personal growth with renowned life coach and spiritual guide Gaur Gopal Das. The recent IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) T&D Conference held in early May once again served as a pivotal time for power industry players to converge, exchange insights, and propel the energy sector forward. With industry leaders converging on Anaheim for this meeting of the minds, the occasion served as a perfect opportunity for CTC Global to share its message, as its headquarters and main manufacturing facility sit in nearby Irvine, California. Amidst the invigorating exhibit hall and electrifying discussions taking place, CTC Global actively shared their unique perspective at their booth to discuss the importance of advanced conductors to the grids of today and tomorrow, as well as in shepherding curious attendees to their manufacturing plant for a tour to show firsthand the care, intentionality, and innovation driving the company. To further tell the CTC Global story, Energy Central was lucky to sit down and chat with several of CTC’s partners on the exhibit floor, hearing directly from Karie Lewicki (Vice President of Business Development at United Grid Solutions), @Francis Cann (Senior Vice President and Senior Director of T&D National Business Line at WSP), and Brendan Andrews (Vice President of Energy & Renewables at Bureau Veritas Group). Grateful to have been part of TenneT TSO B.V. Netherland’s 32Km ENS-ZL 380kV (Ens-Zwolle) upgrade. Project completed 21st June, in spite of some atrocious weather encountered during the build-out. TenneT’s adoption of Advanced Conductors for Grid reinforcement upgrades transmission capacity from 2,500 to 4,000A on 380kV, whilst increasing ground clearance with a minimum of civil works. CTC’s Asset Integrity Verification system (ACCC® InfoCore™) was serially adopted over this project and provided peace of mind to all stakeholders without disrupting the project flow. Thanks to TenneT for their continuing trust, SPIE, Electromontaj S.A. and Midal Cables for the excellent cooperation and teamwork. Looking forward to the upcoming MBT-EHV 380kV project start later in the year!
