Can AI help us understand representation in media? → https://goo.gle/4bkDr0z Google Research uses #AI to analyze massive amounts of media content, uncovering hidden patterns in representation. We partnered with the Geena Davis Institute & University of Southern California to inform a more equitable media landscape.

Representation, mentorship, and access to resources can make a difference for our students. We teamed up with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) to find out the real impact that our Summer Programs can have on our students’ paths to science and tech careers, and the results tugged on our heartstrings. Our study found that our participants are significantly more likely to major in computer science-related fields in college, underscoring the effectiveness of our holistic educational approach. Thank you to AIR for validating what we've seen firsthand: Summer Programs are a catalyst for confidence and success in the tech industry. We're proud that our Summer Immersion Program and Self-Paced Program cater to diverse learning styles, foster a supportive community and prioritize inclusive curriculum. Our research on the state of women at work over the last five years shows a disturbing trend: Latinas face the steepest climb up the corporate ladder—or the biggest drop in representation from entry-level to the C-suite. This is why we are launching our first-ever report on the #StateOfLatinas in corporate America. This report sheds light on some of the unique challenges Latinas face, and provides concrete recommendations for steps companies can take to prioritize Latinas’ advancement. Despite a growing recognition of the importance of diversity and inclusion in STEM fields, media representations of women in STEM continue to lag behind.
