According to the Journal of Nutrition, 70% of U.S. adults 60 and older take at least one daily supplement. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to know which nutritional supplements are of high quality, and especially free of contamination. After extensive research, Growing Bolder is pleased to choose Thorne as our preferred nutritional supplement provider. Since 1984, Thorne has been the gold standard when it comes to quality, purity, and research-backed supplements. Thorne supplements are now the choice of more than 100 professional sports teams, more than a dozen U.S. national teams, and more than 45,000 health-care professionals. Read more about our partnership here: https://bit.ly/GBThorne Thanks to our relationship with Thorne, we are able to provide our followers with a discount on Thorne’s entire product line at the exclusive Growing Bolder Thorne Dispensary. You will find there a variety of nutritional supplements that support active longevity and a Growing Bolder lifestyle. Click here to save now https://bit.ly/3L4sEwS and shop the supplements that will support you on your journey to achieving a healthy and happier life for as long as possible.

When you have access to just about everyone of importance in the healthcare space, you write what may be the most up-to-date and comprehensive book on women's health. Age Wave co-founder Maddy Dychtwald has spent more than 40 years researching the changing culture of aging. When she found that the majority of books on longevity were written by men and targeted to men, she made her mark on the world by writing "Ageless Aging: A Woman's Guide to Increasing Healthspan, Brainspan, and Lifespan," speaking directly to women, to give them the tips and steps to live better and longer. https://lnkd.in/eWWfVCnf

The Power of the Pivot. For years we've produced programming for public broadcasting. Our 30-minute program, Growing Bolder, appeared on over 425 stations nationwide including 100% of the top 50 television markets. We produced 8 seasons because the audience was receptive and because we believe in the mission of public broadcasting – offering free, high quality, life-enriching programming. But viewing habits and advertiser needs change. Technology evolves. And so does Growing Bolder. We're practicing what we preach. We are Growing Bolder. Beginning today we're moving all of our programming onto our own streaming platform with “swim lanes” of organized content similar to Netflix, Prime, or HULU except that it’s all free. We’ll be adding new content every month. New seasons of Growing Bolder and What’s Next. New video stories on ordinary people living extraordinary lives. New interviews with global thought leaders. Compelling documentaries. Tips on health, fitness, caregiving, financial planning, travel and more. It’s all available, all free, on demand, 24/7. We’re pivoting to embrace the growing opportunities of the digital age with the launch of Watch.GrowingBolder.com. This is a big undertaking and a work-in-progress that will continue to grow and evolve. Later this year, we hope to also launch our own fully programmed online linear channel. The kind of free TV that we all grew up with except that it will be accessible to anyone, living anywhere, at any time. Over the years, we know we have positively impacted many lives through our inspiring content. We hear from viewers, listeners, and readers every day and are often asked, ‘How can I help? How can I be part of changing the culture of aging for myself, my kids, and my grandkids?’ Today we have the answer. Support Watch.GrowingBolder.com simply by logging on, watching videos, and sharing with your family and friends. Growing Bolder is more than media. It’s a movement. Full stream ahead! It’s well documented that when young children are told that they’re slow learners, or don’t have the capacity to understand something, they quickly internalize that belief until it becomes reality — or until a caring parent or teacher intervenes and helps them learn otherwise. The same thing happens with older people, but it’s potentially more debilitating because our entire culture is telling us many things that we're incapable of doing, learning, or becoming. And there are no caring parents or teachers who intervene to convince us that we're capable of doing more than our culture has decided is reasonable and appropriate. There is only the example of others which is why Growing Bolder seeks out those who are ignoring the ever-present ageist messaging and writing their own script for what’s possible. I just interviewed the inspiring Ginny MacColl for an upcoming episode of Growing Bolder and What's Next. Ginny is 72 and in the Guinness World Records as the world's oldest female Ninja competitor. She's also the oldest person to complete an obstacle in the American Ninja Warrior competition. What makes her a Growing Bolder story is that she never lifted weights, played sports, or even entered a gym until the age of 63 and only then after being diagnosed with Osteopenia. It took her a year to do a single pull-up. Today, she does 17. We ran into Ginny at the National Senior Games where she competed in swimming, She's also become a stunt woman and actress who appeared as a cheerleader with Diane Keaton in the film POMS. Our interview and video with Ginny about her later in life transformation is coming soon on our new FREE streaming Growing Bolder channel.
