At the 12th Annual Boys & Girls Club of Evansville Community Clean Up in Indiana, 61 #TeamOneMain volunteers pitched in with Mayor Stephanie Terry, 134 students and 20 Club staff members to pick up trash and keep the community where we live and work clean and beautiful.

In his decade with OneMain, José has gone from interning to collections to helping other team members grow. Today, he trains over 20 employees in nine branches to deliver our brand of customer service through collections. As a committed #TeamOneMain volunteer, he also focuses on giving high schoolers the tools they need to make good financial decisions in the future. “I didn’t know about credit until I was 27 years old,” says José. Through our Credit Worthy program, he uses games and mock interviews to teach important lessons about credit, college and careers. “The thing that surprises kids the most when learning about credit is how easy it is to mess it up—and how hard it is to fix.” Here’s a shoutout to José, our latest #OneOnOneMain spotlight, for using his talents to help team members and communities build brighter futures.

For the second year, we sponsored Evansville’s Pride Festival in partnership with River City Pride. Over 100 OneMain volunteers welcomed people to our booth, passed out swag, marched in the parade, set up and broke down the main stage, and took tickets. #TeamOneMain pitched in to make the annual Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride in Chicago a success for our nation’s warriors. The multi-day event is open to all service members and veterans, regardless of ability level. Together, warriors ride side by side, building strength and confidence as a unit, just as they did during their military service. Our Chicago team members assembled gear bags with water bottles, jerseys, snacks and supplies and monitored the water station to create a safe, nurturing environment. Thanks to our volunteers for proudly supporting those who sacrificed and served.
