Congratulations to the 2024 March of Dimes Scholarship Award recipients: Lisa Grisham, MSN, NNP, a DNP/PhD student at the University of Arizona, Tucson; and Kaitlyn Duardo, BSN student at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Established in 1998, the award recognizes and promotes excellence in nursing and furthers the organization's commitment to closing the health equity gap and ensuring all moms and babies receive the highest quality of medical care. Both winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship supported this year by Pampers Professional, a March of Dimes partner for more than 25 years. Learn more about these two outstanding nurses and their commitment to fighting for maternal and infant health: 💜Margaret Comerford Freda March of Dimes Graduate Nursing Scholarship Award recipient, Lisa Grisham, MSN, NNP, shared that the scholarship will support her research on improving the care of hundreds of thousands of mothers and babies. 💜 March of Dimes Undergraduate Nursing Diversity Scholarship recipient, Kaitlyn Duardo, BSN student, shared that, as a future nurse, she will focus on helping Spanish-speaking patients firsthand, and demanding policy change to ensure that every undocumented Hispanic person, or of another ethnic group, has the resources for a safe delivery in the United States.

We’re still reflecting on Dr. Terri MD’s opening keynote session at the 14th annual National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT) Conference. For healthcare "superheroes," recognizing signs of compassion fatigue and burnout is crucial. Dr. Terri's story of overcoming burnout was inspiring, and we appreciate her openness in sharing her journey and learnings. Members of the Pampers Professional team, including Kati Knudsen, Andrew N. Congratulations to one of our 2021 Nursing Scholarship recipients, Heather Bradford! 🎓🩺✨Today, Heather graduates from Vanderbilt University Graduate School in Nashville, TN with her PhD in Nursing. She is currently the Assistant Program Director and Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University, and her career goal is to secure a tenure-track faculty position at a research-focused nursing institution. "I would like to use this platform to continue to grow the midwifery workforce as an educator as well as study and disseminate key findings on my area of interest and others that aim to reverse the worsening US trend of maternity mortality and morbidity," Heather shares. Established in 1998, the March of Dimes Nursing Scholarships recognize and promotes excellence in nursing and furthers the organization's commitment to ensuring moms and babies receive the highest quality of medical care, as well as improving health equity.
