A momentous day last week celebrating the commissioning of Cedar Creek Wind with Clearway Energy Group in Bingham County, Idaho! This 152 MW project will generate enough electricity to power over 60,000 homes annually. rPlus is proud to have been a key player in bringing this beautiful and impactful project to life.

Yesterday we celebrated with Utah Clean Energy for the grand opening of the Climate Innovation Center, one of the nation's most high-performance buildings and a hub for climate action. rPlus Energies donated the solar panels to the center and is proud to be a part of such an incredible project that highlights the opportunity to modernize infrastructure in Utah.

Matthew Shapiro is the CEO of rPlus Hydro, a renewable energy development platform seeking to bring Nevada and many other U.S. states the benefits of permanent operation jobs, community development, and clean energy. With a site 8 miles northeast of Ely, Nevada, the White Pine Pumped Storage Project is a planned 1,000-megawatt (MW) energy storage project with an ideal location for grid connectivity and renewable energy prioritization to meet Nevada’s ambitious requirement of having 50 percent of its energy be renewable by 2030. We are so excited to announce two new scholarships: The Local First - Pleasant Valley Solar Scholarship in partnership with College of Western Idaho and The Energy First - Pleasant Valley Solar Scholarship in partnership with Boise State University. Thanks to our partners Matrix Renewables, Sundt Construction, EliTe Solar, and Idaho Power, we have committed a total of $123,000 to the two institutions. The Local First Scholarship series exclusively supports students in counties where we construct our projects, aiming to keep talent local and develop community workforce needs. Applicants may choose to pursue any certificate, associate, or 4-year program. There are two additional live Local First Scholarship programs at Utah State University and Southern Utah University. The inaugural Energy First Scholarship series focuses on students pursuing careers in the energy sector, providing partial tuition scholarships for degrees in engineering, environmental, or construction programs at local universities.
