Ik had het plezier om deze voormiddag les te geven aan een groep van geïnteresseerde studenten TEW aan Ghent University, Faculteit Economie & Bedrijfskunde. Doelstelling van het college was om de studenten een zicht te geven in het werkveld van HR. We bespraken een aantal grote HR uitdagingen, waaronder skill shortages, de talent impact van automatisering & digitalisering, en de snel vergrijzende workforce. Uitdagingen die we onderbouwden met studies & cijfermateriaal en die stuk voor stuk hoog op de agenda staan van veel directiecomités. We stonden stil bij de rol die HR teams spelen om deze en andere uitdagingen het hoofd te bieden. Dank aan professor Eveline Schollaert voor de uitnodiging!

Together with Annelies Van der Veken, I had the pleasure to facilitate a very interactive workshop with a dynamic group of HR Business Partners, Learning Partners, Recruiters and Strategic HR advisors. We shared research insights, experiences, open questions & dilemmas on the pivotal role HR plays when it comes to the GEN AI workforce revolution. Interesting times! 📍 Gisteren waren Camille Vanremoortele en ikzelf te gast bij Stad Gent voor het inspireren en faciliteren van een workshop. 📌 Thema van de dag: Strategische Personeelsplanning, ook wel Strategic Workforce Planning of kortweg SWP genoemd. Weinigen stellen het belang en de relevantie ervan in vraag, maar tegelijk lopen ook heel wat organisaties vast om Strategische Personeelsplanning concreet te maken en tot actiegerichte inzichten te komen. Net daarover hebben wij het gehad. 💡 Het werd een interactieve sessie waarbij we onze stapsgewijze SWP aanpak hebben toegelicht en waarbij we heel wat interessante inzichten en ervaringen uitwisselden. 🙏 Met dank aan Werkschakelpunt Gent en Stad Gent voor de uitnodiging. How to build and maintain a workforce that is fit for the future, in times where automation and generative AI are about to shake up the job landscape? This was one of the central questions of last week’s HR Leadership Round Table Lunch. HR professionals and leaders from various organizations came together in our KPMG office and we discussed on the future of HR. 👉 We had engaging conversations, participants sparked insightful discussions on pressing HR topics, fostering collaboration and fresh ideas. 💡 Building on both external data and firsthand experience, Morgane de Montlivault and myself shared insights and concrete examples of how the world of work is changing and the essential role HR plays to transform the way we work and to drive workforce planning and shaping. 🥂 We connected and shared experiences in an informal setting with industry peers, fostering valuable relationships. 🙏 A big thank you to the clients and KPMG colleagues who contributed to the event's success.
