Amid all the excitement about AI, it’s easy to lose sight of one key question: what business problems is it actually solving for customers? When the noise dies down, the applications customers will stick around for are the ones that solve real problems in new and better ways. One very real problem companies face is capturing critical company knowledge. It’s time consuming, and it can feel intimidating if you’re not a writer by trade (many of us aren't). As a result, valuable information stays in the minds of subject-matter experts or buried in silos. So when we started experimenting with generative AI at Guru, we asked ourselves if we could help companies solve this problem more effectively. Could we make the writing process faster? Could we make it easier to document knowledge? That’s how Assist (our AI writing assistant) came about. It’s currently available for anyone to use, and in our public beta with 600+ customers, the early results started coming through… It turns out that Assist users are creating 27% more knowledge than they were before. And a lot of them have called out how it has helped them feel more confident about writing. As Christopher Aleman (Knowledge Program Lead at Favor Delivery) put it, “Assist is a godsend since I’m not a copywriter.” AI can do a lot of impressive things. But the thing that'll impress customers long after the current wave of excitement has passed is having their jobs made easier and problems solved in better ways. We’re pleased to introduce Answers, our most powerful AI enhancement to date. With Answers, Guru users will be able to search across their company’s apps to access trusted information instantly.
