They are offering free credit monitoring, which, as our co-founder, CTO and in-house banking industry expert Boe Hartman says, is the quintessential example of putting a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Letters will be in victims' mailboxes soon, but UnitedHealth said "it may not have addresses for all of them," Amina N. of Reuters reports. (Read more: https://lnkd.in/dKjBd7-7) The breadth of the breach is insane, and we predict unimaginable fraud in the next 9 months as criminals put the breached information to work, from exposed personal health information to prescription fraud and more. We are proud to introduce you to Berit Hackler — a Community Champion representing Salt Lake City through the Nomi Health Foundation. For Berit, becoming a Champion was driven by a desire to be more engaged in her local community and create opportunities for others to get involved as well. As she shares, "I believe when individuals come together to allocate their resources, time, and generosity we will be able to make a great positive impact." Her goals are to drive greater community engagement through meaningful service projects that address #SaltLakeCity's unique needs. Giving back is deeply important to Berit, not just for feeling a sense of purpose, but for tangibly improving lives and environments. "There's a sense of purpose in creating a better world for all of us," she says. What makes the #CommunityChampions program truly impactful is the financial backing through grants provided by Nomi Health. This allows Berit and her fellow champions to turn their visions into reality without personal cost. "It's not all just talk; we are able to put our attention and money where it matters while giving our fellow Nomi Health employees a chance to make a difference," Berit states. We're thrilled to have passionate leaders like Berit spearheading positive change in their communities.
