Our Ben Atchley home is gracious for the donation of products, time, and hard work that the The Home Depot Foundation has given for our residents to enjoy the outdoors. Everything is absolutely beautiful! Several members of our executive office attended the Winter NASVH (National Association of State Veterans’ Homes) conference in DC earlier this month. The Executive Committee touched on several new ideas that, as a team, were able to take to our state representatives on Capitol Hill. We received positive feedback from several of our representatives including Senator Blackburn’s and Representative Harshbarger’s office. Our team also met with the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Denis McDonough. During the conference sessions, we received valuable information ranging from new VA initiatives and updates to clinical, financial and IT practices. Our very own executive director, Ed Harries, delivered an impactful presentation in his role as NASVH first vice-president.
