Mitchell is seeking a Deputy, Constituent Engagement. This role is responsible for handling constituent engagement activities and public relation assignments for a specific region of the Supervisor’s jurisdiction in the Second District. Constituent Engagement Deputies act as liaisons for the Supervisor with constituents, district organizations, County departments, other local governments, and state agencies. They monitor local issues and keep the Supervisor and Chief of Staff informed via regular updates to the Assistant Director and Director. Last week, #LACountyBOS’s Office of Protocol welcomed the Los Angeles Consular Corps and representatives from various countries’ embassies for a seminar on emergency preparedness and crisis management.   Attendees were welcomed by new #LACounty BOS 3rd District Supervisor Lindsey Horvath and Executive Officer Edward Yen, and speakers included LA County Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner Dr. Odey C. Ukpo, Chief Privacy Officer Jennifer Papp of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and renowned seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones.   We thank our speakers for their insight and value to the training and we thank the LA Consular Corps for their participation!
