Focus and discipline take us to the next level. Aligning yourself with the priorities that will make the most impact in your goals is necessary… do this daily. It’s easy to confuse “can’t” for “not now.” Your word choice matters. Be kind to yourself and evaluate if it’s a true impossibility (can’t) or not aligned to your goals today (not now). When you use can’t for things you can do, you minimize yourself. Be honest with yourself: you can; you don’t want to because you don’t need the distraction on the way to achieve your goals.

Making someone feel important is as easy as listening. Actively listen to someone to understand, not respond - it will change your game. Less about you and more about them. I encourage you to try it today. Ask a question, listen to understand, repeat.

Often when something gives me agita, I reflect. My internal reflection is helpful, but the involvement of my peers is the most important. Seeing the situation through their eyes and ears expands my perception of reality. Bidirectional feedback is so important when authentic and growth-oriented. This is a reminder to ask for feedback and be as open as possible to receive feedback when someone cares enough about your growth to offer you their eyes and ears. Shout out to my peers Eric James, James Poulsen, Melissa Wunderlich, and Tony Orlando for your eyes and ears most recently. Much appreciation.

Embrace friction and challenge, it makes life less boring. We have the most growth from the failures.

Exciting news! Bombora invited me to join their webinar to discuss proven strategies for maximizing ROI at in-person events! Like many others... I love attending in-person events, but they can be a total waste of money and time. To see true ROI, you must show up with a strategy and purpose. 1)I make an effort to say hello to current customers/partners of ours 2)I put myself out there and make new friends with industry peers 3)I actively listen to what people say and bring up SalesIntel when it makes sense In this webinar, I'll be speaking alongside McKenzie (Jerman) Krizak and Chelsea Waxenberg. Here's what we plan on covering: 1)Beyond vanity metrics: Discover how to measure B2B event success with a focus on lead generation, pipeline acceleration, and revenue growth. 2)Budget optimization: Learn effective strategies for budget allocation that ensure maximum ROI without exceeding your financial limits. 3)Leveraging Intent data: Explore how Intent data can streamline your lead nurturing process, shorten sales cycles, and significantly boost post-event ROI Date: June 20th, 1-2pm ET RSVP: https://lnkd.in/ebUKH9WX to see you there! #events #roi #sales

Had the pleasure of being on my daughter’s first roller coaster ride. We made it a goodie- Expediton Everest! For those of you who are not familiar it’s a coaster that goes forward and backwards (in the pitch black). It also is on a mission to the summit of Everest yet encounters a yeti. She and I discussed how important it is to believe- in something, everything but definitely not nothing. We talked about how hard it is to climb a proverbial mountain. And we talked about how sometimes our fear puts us in a dark, cold place that we have to walk- I suggest run- through backwards to end up in the light of day. Hands up 😉- there is no one I would rather be climbing Everest with! Back at it tomorrow to save for the next expedition with this fearless girl- she wants to swim with great white sharks in South Africa!

What makes a good first impression? I read something today and I think it sums it up well: your kindness, energy, heart, truth, authenticity. That’s what makes someone hard to forget. Do you agree? Or is there more to good first impressions than the power you hold within?

Don’t let your fear stop you. Instead allow it to feed you the worst case scenario and solve to avoid that. Fun fact- I have a fear of snakes. More from nurture, thanks mom, than nature. Another fun fact- my fear of not trying something that someone thinks I can’t/won’t do is bigger. Now enter two pythons and a wager on wearing them… around my neck. What’s the worse things that can happen? They had recently eaten, right? Fear is a mind trick, it can be conquered! Feed yourself the facts; process the most logical outcomes and strategies to avoid the worst possible scenario.
