What a week it has been @Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.. Here are my take-aways: 🌟More clients than ever Lots of clients on the Croisette and a record turnout of 45 global CMOs @WFA #CMOForum @Mastercard Villa 🌟A pervasive sense of optimism… …that stands in stark contrast to the world we live in. Fueled by the mind-boggling potential of AI to transform our industry. 🌟Less grandstanding, more action… ..and that’s long overdue when it comes to our industry’s climate transition. WFA’s Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) launched, in partnership with Ad Net Zero, the 1st Global Media Carbon Emissions Framework. A tool that will allow agencies, platforms and publishers to measure and report their carbon footprint in a consistent fashion. 🌟Tomorrow will be measured differently.. #Halo, the WFA-led industry-wide initiative, sets out to measure reach & frequency, and finally outcomes, across ALL media. With pilots led by ISBA in the UK (#Origin) and by the Association of National Advertisers in the US (#Aquila). Stay tuned. And my personal highlight of the week: a 30min on-camera interview for The Marketing Academy with the inimitable Syl Saller CBE on my failures and moments of doubts in my professional career…:)
