    Brig. Gen. James D. Turinetti IV assumed command of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command and the duties of Aberdeen Proving Ground senior commander during a ceremony at the Myer Auditorium on June 28, 2024. Lt. Gen. Christopher O. Mohan, deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Materiel Command, presided over the ceremony, which was attended in-person and virtually by Army and local leadership, community partners, members of the CECOM workforce, and Turinetti’s family and friends.     Today, CECOM SEC director Garrett Shoemaker and deputy executive director Ronald “Boomer” Rizzo Jr., conducted a walkthrough with their Operations and Security offices to meet and greet personnel. After completing their walkthrough, they hosted a group session where the focus was in line with CECOM SEC values like, “People First,” and they listened to team member’s questions and concerns, providing an in-person opportunity to speak with CECOM SEC leadership.

    #TOBY2035Tuesday – Depot Commander Col. James L. Crocker recently presented a Civilian Service Commendation Medal to Lee Straube of the U.S. Army CECOM Integrated Logistics Support Center. Straube was recognized for his hard work in helping to establish repair capability on the KGV-310B circuit card assembly, assisting with improvements to the driver’s vision enhancer, and the reinvigoration of the CECOM/Tobyhanna Value Engineering Program. His efforts directly impact Tobyhanna Army Depot’s ability to provide first-class support to the warfighter.     On Friday, June 7, Aberdeen Proving Ground hosted a relinquishment of command and retirement ceremony at the Myer Auditorium to bid farewell to outgoing APG Senior Commander and CECOM Commanding General Maj. Gen. Robert L. Edmonson II.
