    David LeDuc is constantly striving to do more for patients. He is committed to understanding the needs of people living with lung cancer and ensuring that the patient voice is included in all aspects of AstraZeneca’s work. To achieve that, David has built a wide network of connections with advocacy and healthcare professional groups, which he leverages to gain insights into patient and caregiver needs and to disseminate patient materials through various channels, including print and digital media.

    To gain a better understanding of the community’s needs, David works closely with AstraZeneca’s Patient Partnership Panel and regularly organizes advisory boards and advocacy exchanges to gather important patient input. These insights have led directly to the creation of numerous unbranded materials designed to increase education and awareness of NSCLC and SCLC and was crucial to the development of the company’s Lung Cancer patient orientation video. Ultimately, he is a great collaborator who is always willing to go the extra mile to engage patients “where they are.”

    One of David’s strengths is his ability to navigate the important and complex regulatory framework that is in place to protect patient privacy by partnering with internal experts to find ways to appropriately engage with patients and to ensure that AstraZeneca’s materials and resources meet regulatory requirements. He is determined to move the needle and improve AstraZeneca’s patient focus, knowing there is always more they can do to be as close to the patient as possible, to identify gaps and barriers in patient care, and meet those challenges with patient-focused solutions.
